Matthew McConaughey Will Bury Placenta

Bizarre as it sounds Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves are planning on burying their baby's placenta soon. They plan to bury it in an Australian orchard. McConaughey told Dr. Sanjay Gupta on his CNN show that it's an aboriginal custom to bury the placenta as a fertility rite. He said that when he was in Australia he saw a tree where women buried their placentas and it was a "huge behemoth of just health and strength." Adding, "It's going to be in the orchards and it's going to bear some wonderful fruit," McConaughey said in an interview transcript.
