Here's an interesting article that explains why the moon will seem larger than usual to the naked eye tonight but in reality it's not. Read the article and if the sky is clear tonight, take your kids out and explain away. When I was a child I remember year after year seeing the moon look huge during the fall (around the time of fall solstice) but I never knew why. I might have my answer now.
