Something To Do: Take 'Em To the Air Show

AirKids love planes period. Dig around at your city's events listings and see if there is an air show close by and take them there. Air shows are typically hosted by flight museums and feature retired army planes, new planes in service and many others.

My son and I attended the Olympic Air Show and he loved it. Some of the highlights were swirling planes, dog fights (the plane kind), a  F/A 18 ferociously whizzing by, a helicopter towing a junk car and then dropping it and the scrumptious kettle corn.

Gear required: sunglasses, sun block, a picnic blanket or folding chairs, lunch, extra water, camera, and hats.
