If you or any of your family members (especially children) are suffering from spring allergies, this post is a must read. I never really believed in air purifiers until my sister-in-law mentioned this particular one. She claimed it worked. Both she and her husband are huge allergy sufferers. One day her husband was coughing up a storm and she turned it on. Within one hour he had stopped coughing so she turned the air purifier off but he started coughing again so she left it on.
We recently purchased the same air purifier at Costco when they had an in-store rebate. My husband claimed it worked too. He says he starts having the feeling of needing to clear his throat within the first couple hours after waking, but he had no urge of doing so when we started using the purifier in our bedroom. But I still wasn't a believer until yesterday.
For some reason yesterday was the first day I've had really bad allergies this year. I'm allergic to pollen from trees mostly. We typically run our purifier on high a couple hours prior to going to bed then leave it on low the rest of the night. This morning when I woke I noticed all my symptoms (itchy eye, sneezing, runny nose) were gone until I sat down for breakfast in the kitchen where we don't have a purifier. I moved the one from the bedroom out and I haven't felt like sneezing since breakfast, so I'm a believer now.
