Babies of diabetic moms result in weak sucking reflex

A new research study indicates that babies of mother's who have developed diabetes during pregnancy and had to be treated with insulin have a weak sucking reflex. But babies of mothers who had diabetes and managed their diets carefully didn't have the same problem. The findings indicate the nervous system of newborns of insulin-treated diabetic mother is less mature than that of babies born the healthy mothers. Read it here.
